Isobaric vapour-liquid equilibrium of ?-terpineol highly diluted in hydroalcoholic mixtures at 101.3 kPa: Experimental measurements and thermodynamic modeling

Terpenes are important varietal compounds responsible for the characteristic aromas of alcoholic beverages. Reliable vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) data this class aroma in hydroalcoholic media is essential to understand their behavior during distillation and thus achieve a desired quality distilled products. In work, experimental measurements VLE ?-terpineol highly diluted ethanol–water mixtures were carried out recirculation ebulliometer operating at 101.3 kPa boiling temperatures from (354.99 369.93) K. Equilibrium compositions determined by gas chromatography density ethanol. Results show that expressively more volatile dilute region (xEt < 0.01), where it can be up 30 times abundant vapor phase twice as Inversely, when xEt > 0.15 10 richer liquid phase.
